Relationship and Skill Building Intervention for Parents of Depressed Teens
Researchers at the University of Minnesota are conducting a study to develop a relationship and skill building program for parents of depressed teens (age 12-18).
Parents will come in for 8 skill building sessions over the course of 10 weeks to learn approaches for supporting their adolescent's recovery. Parents and teens will then complete assessments at baseline, week 5, week 10, and 2 months post intervention.
Participation in the study takes about 1 hour per visit. Parents will be paid $30-$40 dollars per assessment depending on the time point. Teens will be paid $10 per assessment.
The study takes place at the University of Minnesota and families will receive reduced rate parking. If you and your adolescent are interested in learning more about the study, you can call 612-626-7065.
