A Comparison of Toxicant Exposure among Tobacco, Marijuana, and Co-users

What is the study?

The purpose of this study is to measure the health effects of smoking among tobacco smokers, marijuana smokers, and those who smoke both.

Who can participate?

Healthy men and women who are regular cigarette smokers, marijuana smokers, or both.

What will happen if I decide to participate?

You will attend at least 1 visit and up to 2 clinical visits. The exact number of visits will be indicated after determining your eligibility for participation. You will be interviewed or asked to complete questionnaires that ask personal questions such as demographics, tobacco and marijuana use history, health history, prescription and over-the-counter medication use, occupational exposure to chemicals and tobacco smoke, and use of alcohol. Cells from your mouth and nose, and urine samples will be collected from you. You will receive payment: $25 at your first visit and $50 at your second visit.
