First Episode Psychosis

Our outpatient services offer interdisciplinary team-based treatment for first episode psychosis focusing on resiliency and recovery. Services include:

  • Individualized medication evaluation and management:
    Medication helps to reduce symptoms and prevent a mental health relapse.
  • Individual therapy:
    Therapy helps the individual to learn about recovery options, learn and practice new skills for coping with symptoms, and focus on resiliency
  • Young Adult group:
    Open discussion of topics such as symptom management, relationships, and transitions back to school or work with others age 18-35.
  • Family therapy and support group:
    Provides family education on psychosis and its treatment, and helps family members to support their loved one's recovery goals
  • Case coordination:
    Professional assistance with additional community resources helps with issues related to housing, insurance, and food needs
  • Pharmacist:
    On site professional to consult about medication questions.

Program Requirements

First Episode of Psychosis program serves individuals who are:

  • 15-50 years of age
  • Experiencing a recent onset of symptoms of psychosis
  • Interested in working closely with a team to find stability and reach your goals
  • Able to engage in frequent visits at the clinic
