Research

Research Summary/Interests

Using electroencephalogram, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and genetically-informed data, my research aims to identify the brain mechanisms underlying the development and maintenance of substance abuse and addiction. 

Teaching

Academic Interests and Focus

My two main goals as an educator are to (1) make psychology and neuroscience concepts interesting, accessible, and relevant to students’ experiences, and (2) foster critical thinking about psychological and biological sciences that motivate students to gain perspective on certain issues that impact society.
