Who We Are
 Scott Crow, M.D., is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota whose research examines the course, outcome, and treatment of eating disorders and obesity. He previously received an Independent Scientist Award from the National Institute of Mental Health focusing on the course, outcome, and treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Crow is Past President of the Academy for Eating Disorders, is Program Director for the Midwest Region Postdoctoral Training Program in Eating Disorders Research, and is Director of the Eating Disorder/Assessment Core of the Minnesota Obesity Center. Carol B. Peterson, Ph.D., is a Research Associate and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Yale University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of eating disorders and obesity. She has authored more than 45 articles and book chapters, and recently co-edited a book entitled "Assessment of Eating Disorders." Dr. Peterson also has a part-time private practice in which she specializes in the treatment of eating disorders. Kelly C. Berg, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow with the Midwest Regional Postdoctoral Training Program in Eating Disorders Research and the Director of Assessment for the Eating Disorders Research Program at the University of Minnesota. She received her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the University of Minnesota after completing her predoctoral internship at The University of Chicago Medical School. Her research interests include the assessment and diagnosis of eating disorders as well as the development of innovative treatments for reducing binge eating and compensatory behaviors. Michaela Bucchianeri, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow Nora Durkin, M.A., is a graduate research assistant at the Eating Disorders Research Program and a doctoral student in educational psychology at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include the assessment of eating disorders and associated psychopathology as well as group dynamics in eating disorder treatment. Katie Longley is an undergraduate student volunteer at the Eating Disorders Research Program who is majoring in Physiology at the University of Minnesota. Her future career interests include medicine and research. She also works as a part-time phlebotomist and undergraduate research assistant in addiction studies.
