Mark A. Nugent Foundation
With shrinking federal funding for grants the ability to get support for truly novel research ideas has become extremely difficult.
The Mark A. Nugent Foundation is dedication to helping provide funds for new and creative approaches towards treating mental illness.
Without their support, the basic research and the clinical studies described on this website would never have started. One can be assured that contributions to this foundation will allow other innovative research to gain necessary support.
Organization Purpose:
The Mark A. Nugent Medical Research Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds to support bio-medical research on depression and other major mental illnesses. The primary objective of the organization is to sponsor research programs focused on the biological origins of mental illness. The Foundation finances research ventures that explore new or untested theories. Our support -- and the resulting research findings –help promising research programs qualify for conventional funding.
