David Adson, M.D.
Assistant Professor

A graduate of the University of Minnesota Psychiatric Residency Training Program.  He entered the field of psychiatry after practicing primary care for a number of years.  Dr. Adson is involved in the training of residents and medical students in the adult outpatient clinic and consult liaison service.  He has special interests in the drug-drug interactions, the mood and anxiety disorders, and the ethics of clinical research.  He is chair of one of the human-subjects committee medical panels.  Dr. Adson is currently involved in clinical trials of newer pharmacologic agents for the treatment of eating disorders, as well as the mood and anxiety disorders. He is also involved in some preliminary work exploring the role of how depression might impact cardiovascular disease.
