Year One

(PGY-1):

During PGY-1, the resident will have four months of training in general internal medicine or pediatrics, two months in neurology, and six months in adult inpatient psychiatry. These clinical rotations occur at both FUMC and VAMC.

While on inpatient services other than psychiatry, call responsibility will be determined by those services. While on psychiatry, the resident will carry an average of 12 patients and take call once every 5-6 days.
